Nah, ketika sekarang punya ruang lebih luas di kepala untuk memaknai esensi puasa, maka, waktunya kita menyadari juga bahwa dengan berpuasa seseorang bisa mencapai apa yang disebut dengan\u00a0<em>mindfulness<\/em> atau kesehatan mental<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ketika berada dalam keadaan\u00a0<em>mindfulness<\/em>, kita bisa membebaskan diri dari \u201cPR masa lalu\u201d yang masih belum mampu diselesaikan, atau pun harapan masa depan yang masih bertahan di fase perencanaan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ketika memasuki tahap\u00a0<em>mindfulness<\/em>, seseorang bisa mengalokasikan perhatian sepenuhnya untuk \u201csaat ini\u201d. Ya, segala sesuatu (sensasi di dalam tubuh dan apa yang diterima oleh indera)\u00a0yang terjadi detik ini. Bukan yang silam, atau yang akan datang.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ketika tidak berpuasa, secara refleks kita mencari air dan meneguknya saat kita berada dalam keadaan haus. Namun saat berpuasa, kita menggunakan kesadaran sepenuhnya untuk mengendalikan diri dan menerima rasa hausnya.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><strong>M<\/strong><\/em><strong>indfulness\u00a0berpuasa<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Aktivitas berbuka puasa juga membawa kita pada level yang lebih tinggi dalam menikmati masa kini\u00a0<em>(present moment)<\/em>\u00a0secara penuh. Sejenak, kita bisa melepaskan diri dari pekerjaan yang belum diselesaikan atau pun permasalahan yang belum dipecahkan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Kita mencurahkan perhatian pada setiap teguk air yang melewati tenggorokan. Seseorang bisa merasakan seutuhnya sensasi tubuh dan perubahan di dalamnya yang menyertai aktivitas.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pada momen ini, tidak ada masa lalu atau masa nanti. Yang ada, hanya saat ini yang memenuhi perhatian dan kesadaran.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sepenggal keadaan\u00a0<em>mindfulness<\/em>\u00a0ini membawa kita pada kondisi mental yang dipenuhi ketenangan, kenyamanan, dan kecukupan. Hal ini, sesuai dengan fungsi\u00a0<em>mindfulness<\/em>\u00a0yang bila dipraktikan secara rutin, akan dapat mengurangi kecemasan, depresi, serta meningkatkan aktivitas bagian otak yang bertanggungjawab terhadap perasaan positif manusia.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Definisi puasa lebih dari sekadar larangan dan batasan.
